In addition to donating to the PlaNet Finance Group, PlaNet Finance China currently has some "absolute poverty projects" which could benefit from multiple small donations. Mini-greenfields, a different model from standard microfinance, is intended to form new platforms to help bring training programs to isolated populations and develop sustainable economic output. This work includes communities such as the southern part of Gansu Province, which was hit by the earthquake of May 12, 2008.
We are looking for small donations that would eventually add up to around USD 30,000 to get each village of about 1,200 people started on the track out of poverty and isolation. We are also looking for companies willing to contribute some operations costs into these new mini-greenfields intended to serve the absolute poor; for each USD 30,000 mini-loan program, we need about USD 20,000 to get the start-up stabalized and self-sufficient in two years.

In-kind Donations
PlaNet Finance China also welcomes donations in the form of expertise or goods, such as mobile modems and mobile phones used in our rural centers for searching agricultural advice and market pricing and 2nd hand computers in good condition.
Individuals with expertise in the field of financial training, in-field research and statistical analysis, rural development and communications will be great assets to our work here at PF China. We welcome all forms of expertise donation whether it be for one engagement or over a period of time.
Solar Lanterns for Cheng County
Cheng County, located in the Longnan area of Gansu Province, has a population of 263,000. Cheng County has certain protected forested area where people live without electricity in poverty. In accordance to PlaNet Finance China's Microfinance Plus programs to promote renewable energy, PlaNet Finance China is interested in providing solar lanterns and universal mobile phone chargers to potential microfinance participants in the area. Doing so will enable residents to increased their productivity and improve their overall standard of living in the area. In order to accomplish this, PlaNet Finance China is seeking manufacturers and or distributors of durable lanterns and chargers, or funds to purchase these at a discount.
